Programmes and activities

At Midsummer park preschool, we understand that children develop at different rates. That's why our early learning programs are age-specific, tailored to meet the developmental needs of children aged 2 to 5 years old. Our adaptive approach ensures that each child receives the support they need to thrive. We are an LTT accrediate setting, we understand the importance of children being able to express their wants and needs using a range of different communication skills.

Are the activities inclusive of language or cultural programs?

Yes, we organize cultural days to celebrate diversity and introduce children to different languages and traditions. We pride ourselves on our inclusive setting and sharing all children's cultural experiences.

How are the learning programs tailored for all children's abilities?

Our programs are age-specific, developmental, and adaptive to cater to the individual needs of each child. Our keyperson structure means adults will observe childens progress and adapt activities based on their development stages to keep activities inclusive to all. Our highly qualified senco works closely with staff and parents to provide targeted plans and intervetions giving children with additional needs the best outcomes.

How do we help physical development?

We provide a range of physical activities for the children to participate in daily and improve their gross and fine motor skills. The staff plan activities such as yoga, meditation and dance parties to keep the children active and healthy. We often have outside agencies come in and work with the children and provide fun activities our most recent being sports stars, a trained sports stars member comes in weekly to teach the children sports, excersize and how to keep our bodies healthy.

Each month the staff will plan new activities based around our topic of the month.
